  1. Most all PHP photo galleris out there have nice features but cluttered, unappealing gallery presentations. I needed to publish a gallery for an artist friend of mine and ended up building Paradise. It’s all about being simple and aesthetic… http://centerkey.com/paradise and it’s Open Source because artists have no money 🙂

    • I’m also kind of shocked, a million jquery slideshows out there, uploaders, too, but not one lightweight combination being practical and well designed. Zenphoto is already by far too complex for what i want to achieve, Piwigo’s backend is not responsive (absolute killer argument), some seem to be outdated or otherwise not too well maintained, bummer…
I’m thinking of using wp or typo3 just for the upload and folder generation stuff and a custom php script to send stuff in json format to the client. This way i should be able to use any galery plugin, just supply correct json. Weird.
