Augsburg narrowly misses first points

TSV Pfungstadt won the top duel against TV Vaihingen/Enz. The Hessians prevailed against TVV with 5:2, who had already won TSV Calw 5:2 during the week. TV Augsburg narrowly missed its first win of the season in a thriller over nine sets against TV Unterhaugstett.

An overview of the matches.

TSV Pfungstadt - TV Vaihingen/Enz 5:2 (9:11, 11:5, 11:6, 11:2, 11:6, 10:12, 11:2)

"It was the expected match," Knodel recounts of the business trip to Hesse. "We won two sets. Pfungstadt had lost only one in four matches up to that point." And the two sets that the Vaihingen team secured showed great fighting spirit on top of that. Because in the first set, TVV was already behind 2:6. "Then we got into the game well," said Knodel. His team turned the score around and won 11:9, what you can read on the site online cricket satta bazar. "After that, Pfungstadt turned up the heat," reported the guests' coach. "We also had a few easy errors in our hitting. But our defense stood very well. Patrick Thomas also hardly got through with his serve." Nevertheless, the next two sets went to the hosts until the first break - 11:5 and 11:6.

During the break, Knodel took Johannes Jungclaussen off the field. "He had pain above the knee," he reported. But a physiotherapist in the hall suspected only a muscle hardening. "We didn't care about playing a full game against Pfungstadt and still losing 1:5 or 2:5," Knodel says. "The game in a week against Augsburg is much more important for us. That's why we took it easy on Johannes." Jakob Kilpper took over the main stroke. "He did a pretty decent job," says the TVV coach. "But there is a top defense over there. Pfungstadt has dominated club fistball for the last ten years." So it came only quite rarely to Vaihingen points. With 2:11 and 6:11, TVV had to admit defeat another two times. In the sixth set, however, the visiting team once again showed that morale and commitment were right. A 7:10 deficit was turned into a 12:10 win. But Pfungstadt finally closed the bag with an 11:2 win in the seventh set.

TV SW-Oberndorf - TSV Calw 2:5 (11:13, 11:7, 6:11, 11:6, 8:11, 9:11, 6:11)

Marco Stoll and Leandro Schmidberger in defense, Philipp Kübler centrally, Nico Stoll and Raphael Schlattinger at the hitting line - that's how the "Lions" took to the court of the Alexander-von-Humboldt-Halle. Already the first set was contested, Calw fended off two set points and then prevailed. Afterwards, both teams had their strong and weaker moments, which is why sets 2 to 4 each turned out clearly.

Meanwhile, Heiko Bestle and Nick Stoll were also allowed to prove their skills in the TSV jersey. The TV SW-Oberndorf, with the outstanding Fabian Sagstetter and the Habenstein brothers Janne and Johann actually strongly occupied, must orient itself without its permanently injured batsman Oliver Bauer in the meantime in the table rear field and was in the crucial phases also the TSV Calw with its concentrated hitting Raphael Schlattinger no longer equal.

With 6:2 points, the Calw team can speak of a successful start to the season. But now the program will be more difficult.

TV Augsburg - TV Unterterhaugstett 4:5 (11:9, 9:11, 9:11, 6:11, 13:11, 6:11, 11:8, 11:7, 5:11)

Augsburg had the team from Unterhaugstett as guests in the FEH last weekend. And despite the absence of attacker David Färber, the men of coach Uwe Schäfer went fully motivated into the game.

Until the first break it was 2:1 for the guests. After the break, however, TVA put up a good fight, winning the fourth set to equalize 2:2. But TVU pulled away again (4:2), before TVA could decide two sets in a row for themselves and thus fight back into the match. In the ninth set towards the end, some concentration was missing. Unterhaugstett took the points from the Fuggerstadt into the Black Forest.

TSV Calw - TV Vaihingen/Enz 2:5 (5:11, 6:11, 11:7, 11:8, 6:11, 9:11, 3:11)

Despite the Corona-related 2G-plus hurdles, a few dozen spectators did not miss the chance to watch the catch-up match of the until then undefeated Bundesliga teams between TSV Calw and TV Vaihingen/Enz live in the Walter-Lindner-Halle. The match between second and third was electrifying, but did not always offer what it promised and ended with a deserved victory for the guests.

"We really slept through the first two sets and didn't get into the match at all," reported TSV player Philipp Kübler after the sobering defeat. "We also lacked the necessary tension the whole time." However: inevitable was the clear 2:5 not, because also the Vaihinger took their "timeouts" when not everything succeeded. TVV hitter Johannes Jungclaussen drove the ball into the line more often in sets 3 and 4, the Calw "Lions" caught themselves and equalized at 2:2.

TSV coach Thomas Stoll saw the crux and decisive moment in the sixth set, when his team had led 9:7, but then was not consistent and had to surrender to 2:4. "We simply have to get through this set, but this is how the match turned into the opposite."

The visiting team of coach Markus Knodel extended its record to now 8:0 points and is the first pursuer of TSV Pfungstadt. For Johannes Jungclaussen, who was on the field together with his brothers Jaro and Jakob, an amazing development. "We are playing against relegation, but now we have defeated four top-class opponents."

TV 1880 Käfertal - TV 1865 Waibstadt 5:0 (11:2, 11:6, 11:2, 11:3, 13:11)

The bath derby goes to the TVK with a clear 5:0 except for the last set.

So it goes on

Rises the next match day in 2 games the favorite roles should be clearly distributed. In the games Käfertal against Calw and Waibstadt against TV Schweinfurt Oberndorf the outcome is open. For TV Käfertal and TSV Calw, the match can already have a trend-setting character for the DM (although only just under a third of the season has been completed). And then the question arises: Can TV Waibstadt get the first points in the swimming pool hall and thus pull TVO into the direct relegation zone?
