U12: Karlsdorf and Leipzig celebrate dm premiere
The German championship of the U12 teams celebrated a successful premiere under the indoor roof. The 40 participating teams played exciting games at the Egidius Braun Sports School in Leipzig. The title was secured at the end of the 2021/22 indoor season by the female U12 team from TSV Karlsdorf and the U12 boys from host SC DHfK Leipzig, reported https://cricket360.bet/parimatch-app-for-android-and-ios/.
Female U12
With two draws and three wins, the female U12 of TSV Karlsdorf had started the championship and thus secured first place in the preliminary round group A on Saturday. In the quarterfinals, TSV then beat TV Unterhaugstett (11:2, 11:8) and also beat MTV Wangersen in the semifinals (11:6, 11:3).
Their opponent in the final was ESV Dresden, who had also won their group, defeating TV Jahn Schneverdingen (11:9, 11:6) in the quarterfinals and ESV Schwerin (11:8, 9:11, 11:9) in an exciting semifinal. A decision around the DM title fell then only in the decision set. Karlsdorf had come first (11:6), Dresden followed suit (11:9), before TSV put on the national crown with an 11:6 in the third set. The bronze medal was won by ESV Schwerin, who beat MTV Wangersen (12:14, 14:12, 11:7) in the match for third place.
Male U12
In the U14, SC DHfK Leipzig had already fought its way to the finals, and at the home championships, the fistballers now celebrated the first championship title in the club's history. After first place in the preliminary round (8:2 points), the Leipzig team celebrated a 2:0 (11:5, 11:9) victory in the quarterfinals against TSV Essel as well as in the impressive performance in the semifinals against TV Stammheim (11:2, 11:1). MTV Oldendorf also made it to the final.
The team from Lower Saxony had reached the first place in their preliminary group with 7:1 points, and in the knockout matches they first beat TV Ochsenbach (11:9, 11:2) and shortly afterwards TV Unterhaugstett (11:5, 13:11). In the final match over three sets, however, the hosts from Leipzig kept the upper hand - who secured the DM title with 11:6, 8:11 and 11:5. The podium was completed by TV Unterhaugstett, who prevailed in the bronze match against TV Stammheim (11:6, 12:10).
